There are rarely some temples that are surrounded by water on four sides. One

such temple is punniya kodiayappar temple situated in a place called thiruvidaivasal in thiruvarur district.

Amman is called as Abirami. This temple is the 275 th temple mentioned in devaram as found in 17th century. This temple is said to be more than 1000 years old.
