A holy experience of a great and faithful devotee of Sri. Periyava

Sri. Guruvayurappan Krishnamurthy travels down the memory lane and devotedly recalls his great experience with Sri. Periyava. A must read one.

Pranams to JaiSriKrishna, HH & to Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam Guruparampara ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™ on an Auspicious Purattasi Rohini ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

Common Denominator - Srimad Bhaghavad Gita; Unpredictable Numerators ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™ Latest one HH & JaiSri Krishnaโ€™s Blessings for 10th Anniversary of my Very First Visit in 2012 to Holy Kurukshetra ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

Just a few days before Deepavali 2012, got a call from Sri Matam devotee (Late) Sri Panchapakesan Mama (who was visiting his family in ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ) that HH had ordained him to take me to White House Diwali Celebrations. HH also ordained that I SHOULD go in Hindu traditional attire to White House with Sri Matam Prasadams (Photos, Shawls & Navaratna Malas) for the occasion. Little did I know what was in store from JaiSriKrishna.

I used to have a big heavy book of Srimad Bhaghavad Gita to do Nithya Parayanam but I started using a smaller palm size one by Gita Press (Yellow color covers) from 2012. We were Blessed to attend Anna Sri Krishna Premiโ€™s Satabishekam in Aug 2012 & was Blessed to visit Kurukshetra for the very first time. With Sri Annaโ€™s Blessings (in Aug 2012), HH Blessings (in Nov 2012), I was able to meet & get the autograph of another great JaiSriKrishnaโ€™s devotee Tulsi Gabbard during the Diwali Celebrations in White House.

Since then I started using that small palm sized book heavily even at home & during travel as it was very convenient. When we got Kavacham for HH Sri Maha Perivaaโ€™s Holy Padukas, we kept the same Srimad Bhaghavad Gita (Yellow Palm Sized Book) alongside the Padukas & got Their Holiness Blessings ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™ Please see the photos

10 years ran so fast & also the flimsy sheets of the book were tearing off. But JaiSriKrishna had His own plans! When I visited Kurukshetra in 2012 with my eldest brother, whoโ€™s also my Brahmopadesam Guru - we got a few pocket size books of Srimad Bhaghavad Gita. Theyโ€™re comparatively very smaller than the book I had & the paper quality also still delicate as theyโ€™re like tracing paper! My brother got one of those books autographed by Sri Sri Krishna Premi Anna & presented it to me later. Knowing the significance of the book, I kept it under JaiSri Krishnaโ€™s Vigraham at home in the Prayer room since then until 30 May 2022.

When the palm sized bookโ€™s pages were really tearing away, very hesitatingly put that book in plastic bag & tied with a rubber band & started using the pocket size from 30 May 2022 onwards. That day was Rohini & also Memorial Day in ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Most Memorable Change

I was so eager to use the pocket sized book to do Parayanam during Vishwaroopa Yatra with HH during the concluding celebration of Chaturmasyam ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™ But the pouring rain in Kakinada was a great challenge as not only the book will get wet but since itโ€™s the tracing paper pages, will easily get damaged. Somehow found a place closer to the stage where HH was sitting & was settling down with the book protecting from rain & ready for the function to start! There came HH & JaiSri Krishnaโ€™s Blessings ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

Traditionally Srimad Baghavad Gita book would be brought from Sri Matam or camp or by the priest who does the Puja for the Vishwaroopa Yatra Puja. For some reason, no book was brought & Sri M.K. Raghu with his sharp eyes noticed that I was having a book, quietly asked me to spare it. I was under the impression that some devotee wanted to read & gave it WITHOUT ANY HESITATION ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™ Maybe HH & JaiSriKrishna tested me thru MKR??!!

But then only I realized that it was for the Gita Puja as nobody brought the book for the event! Every Rohini we used to do Archana to JaiSri Krishna in the name of Three Perivaasโ€™ for LokaKshemam. On the very first day JaiSriKrishna wanted me to use the book was Rohini & kept in His Lotus Feet when Archana was done to Him in the name of Perivaas in Sri Venkateswara Temple, Bridgewater, NJ. The moment HH started Dyana Slokas, the rain completely stopped & not a single drop of rain fell! What a Miracle to save the book from getting soaking wet. You can see from the videos & photos of the priest & devotees with the wet clothes & blue umbrella was used for the host of Kakinada Chaturmasyam camp (at the beginning of event).

Prayers to Almighty, Their Holiness & to JaiSri Krishna for LokaKshemam ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™
