It is a grace-filled day for the Mayuram Radha Kalyanam(MRK) and its ladies bhajan group as they are stepping into the 26th year of Ekadashi bhajans today. The silver jubilee bhajans of Gnanambigai Bhajanai Mandali were filled with the joy of devotion, thanking the Lord for giving us the opportunity to praise Him. Any amount of appreciation is not enough for the devout ladies who have prioritized conducting this bhajan without expecting any credit or publicity for their continued participation.
So far as this fortnightly event was not publicized the attendance has limited to the ladies of the kaverikarai and the surrounding streets, but nonetheless, the devotion is unlimited. Here Jeyalakshmi mami talks about her motivation, experience, and her wish going forward in a concise way. Known fondly as paatu mami, she has learnt singing from Mayuram Krishnamoorthy bhagavathar and she was one of the pillars of the Ekadashi bhajans
We salute her and all other ladies on this momentous occasion and pray to Lord Vittal to bless them with strength and abundance in all walks of their lives. We request the ladies to continue the holy endeavor forever.
